Working where I work, I often get into situations where I have to make ethical and moral decisions. I often get pressured to drink and do drugs but I don't partake in it because I know that they are wrong. Doing it would be against my morals and it would be against the law which would make it ethically wrong.

Time management
In class, we have been learning about time management and I have realized that I am not the best manager of my time. I often waste many hours on my phone or even watching netflix. I constantly get distracted and don't benefit at all from it. I have been working on managing my time better and I have slightly done better. I try to spend less time on my phone and other electronic devices. Let's see what the rest of the week brings!

Time management
- I used to have a planner to plan my time but that didn't work very well for me. Right now I am just relying heavily on my memory and try to plan in my head the things I need to do. Everyday during school I usually get out a piece of paper and write down all the things I need to get done. I do this especially when I have a long week or weekend ahead of me. Writing things down really helps me stay on task and accomplish what needs to be done.
Today in my leadership class we talked about the "rocks" and "sand" we have in our lives. Below I have listed some of those things that apply in my life.
Work
Shopping
School
Family time
Homework
Sand-
Hanging out with my friends
Mini vacations
Sports
Distractions-
Cell phone
Instagram
Netflix
Facebook
I am going to start using a planner to plan out my events and use my time more wisely. I have tried using a planner in the past and it has worked before so I need to get back on it!

Group Working
Working in a group requires many group decisions. A personal experience that I have with working in a group is our parlimentary procedure team had to decide how important competition was and how many days a week we would practice to prepare. We all thought about this decision and how it would affect us as a team. We had decided to practice two times a week and we ended up placing very well.

Making a decision
I made the decision on whether I wanted to try to attend Girls State or not. I first identified the situation and what it would take for me to be able to go. Girls State took place during the summer and an alternative I had was to go to Costa Rica and do a humanitarian project instead. I selected a solution and decided to try for Girls State. I had to write a letter expressing my desire to attend. I wrote the best letter I could write and did the best job I could have done. The decision I made achieved my desired result. I wanted to attend Girls State and it just so happened that I was one of the four that was chosen and I will be attending!!! (: YAY!! (:

Final thoughts about coaching
When we first started this coaching section, I didn't realize the different types of coaching and the different ways you can coach. Now that we have finished the section, I now know about the different kinds and how different people coach. There are two types of coaching styles, facilitative and knowledge-based coaching. Everybody coaches differently and everyone has their own techniques.
